ER - Competitive club runner

ER is a competitive club runner who for 3 years was intermittently experiencing pain in the back of her left thigh. After assessment at Aqua Physio she was diagnosed with a hamstring tendon problem secondary to poor muscular control around her hip. ER started a programme of exercise for the control problems she was experiencing around her hip and began aqua running once a week supplementing a regular training run on land. ER cites aqua running as the contributing factor that has enabled her to train without injury and improve her running fitness.

SL - Right Knee Arthroscopy Due To Torn Cartilage

“Thanks to you all I’m back on my feet, back on my bike and soon to be back on outdoor rock again. RE - Ankle fracture and ligament sprain

RE is a 15 year old semi professional footballer who sustained an un-displaced fracture and grade 2 ligament sprain to his right ankle in November 2013 whilst playing in a match. After several weeks of ankle immobilisation in a plaster boot he was given the all clear from his Orthopaedic consultant to begin his rehabilitation.

DP - Spinal surgery

DP underwent a right L5/S1 Discectomy on 9 December 2011, after a 6 month history of progressively worsening Lower back pain. This 50 year old gentleman owned his own company and needed to return to run his business which involved climbing, driving and desk work. He enjoyed boxing and gym work in the past and had to cease all activity for the 6 month prior to his operation due to pain.

BLG – long term management

BLG suffered 2 hairline fractures of her femoral condyle and a sprained ankle after falling. She was managed with a cricket pad splint and crutches and was not allowed to weight bear for the initial few weeks. BLG has a long history of lower back problems and so it was agreed that some pool treatment may be of benefit to her at this early stage.
