Sadiq completed both his ASA Level 1 & Level 2 Swim Teacher Qualifications while training as a Physiotherapist at Southbank University. He has also put his swimming skills to the test by regularly participating in long-distance charity swimming events.
Sadiq believes that hydrotherapy is a game-changer in physiotherapy, offering unique benefits that land-based rehab alone cannot match. He incorporates buoyancy-assisted exercises to offload joints, making rehabilitation more comfortable and effective, especially for post-surgical patients, chronic pain conditions, and sports injuries.
Beyond the water, Sadiq is also highly active in martial arts, with experience in freestyle wrestling and Muay Thai. He enjoys coaching martial arts and self-defence, helping others build strength, confidence, and resilience through movement. His deep understanding of biomechanics, from both martial arts and physiotherapy, allows him to design effective, sport-specific rehab plans that ensure athletes recover stronger and prevent future injuries.
To maintain his own fitness and well-being, Sadiq incorporates Pilates and strength training at the gym, recognising the importance of core stability, flexibility, and endurance- all key elements in both martial arts and rehabilitation. He believes that staying strong, mobile, and active is crucial for long-term health, and he brings this philosophy into his patient care, helping them return to full function and beyond.
Whether it’s in the gym, the dojo, or the water, Sadiq is passionate about movement, recovery, and performance. His combined expertise in aquatic therapy, physiotherapy, and martial arts makes him a versatile and dynamic therapist, ensuring that patients receive the most effective and progressive rehabilitation possible.
